"Good afternoon Europa. This is Jasmine Lavigne live from ENC to deliver the news today. For three days the world has stood still and silent before what may be the largest war in human history. On June 15th the allied nations of Europa worked with the two figures who represent the self-proclaimed Demigods, Arcadeus and Tasia.
The two were to meet with five of our elected representatives to come to an agreement. For insurances for their safety, the military was stationed not far away. However, events unfolded showed that this was no guarantee. Arcadeus, who was persistent in wanting war, lost his temper during the negotiations and murdered the five representatives within a matter of seconds. The area which was under constant video surveillance was completely torn apart by wildfire created by the Demigod himself. We are told by military officials that the fire destroyed any evidence they had of the scenario.
What created the hate between us humans and the Demigods? Before we take off on what may be the end of the world as we know it we need to understand why this is happening. Two years ago the universe witnessed what scientists call the second Big Bang. Flashes of white light spread across the galaxy and millions of these particles descended upon our Earth. With further inspection, our scientists discovered that these particles are identical to what created the universe, the God Particles. While some of these particles had not yet bonded with what they first came in contact with, others did, drastically changing their genetic or mineral composition, adding to what was there from before.
Demigods... I'm sorry, we seem to be receiving a call from an angry viewer. We don't usually take these calls during a live broadcast. Ok... Dear viewers, our caller is... oh my god, it's Arcadeus!"
"I'm sorry... I've lost my temper and was the reason to why there isn't peace between us, is that it? What other lies has your government fed you? How many people are listening to this broadcast right now?"
"...."
"HOW MANY ARE LISTENING!?"
"Umm... around 2 billion listeners and viewers already and rising."
"Good. I want you all to listen to me this one final time. I understand your fear. I understand it well because we too are afraid. We have been given God-like powers and we are afraid. We all have dreamed of flying among the clouds, running faster than ever and for those of us who were more creative, to create fire and water with just a thought. But we too are afraid because the experience is surreal and the consequences of these powers are very real. We have yet to master our newly given talents but we are constantly pushed around and called weapons. I am a General and I know what a weapon is so let me tell you this, we are not weapons. We are ticking bombs and we may detonate at any time."
"Are you suggesting..."
"Quiet! I wasn't finished. We are afraid because we may involuntarily harm others as well as our selves. We are not immortals. Our powers could easily harm us as well. Let me tell you a story so that you know what the experience is like for us. I know of a mother, changed by the God Particle, who watched her three-month-old child from a distance. The God Particle had taken a very slow effect on her within the two years she had bonded with one. Only after she had her child did she realize that she was changing. She began to watch from a distance because her hands were now ice cold and her skin like stone. She was afraid because she thought she would harm her child. She was so afraid she couldn't live with herself. This woman quickly fell into depression because she simply could not nurse her child and she could not simply give the child up for adoption for fear of it becoming experimented on. Would you like to know what she decided upon in the end?"
"...No sir..."
"She hugged her child one last time and her fears became reality. The child froze to death and she became so unstable with her emotions that she eventually began to freeze as well until they were both like sculptures made of ice."
"That is quite unsettling."
"It is. Many of us still face perils every day without the human government breathing down our necks. I wanted to tell you all that. Oh, and that you should get your facts straight. The five representatives were not present at the meeting in Denmark. They were actors and the military wasn't there to guarantee safety, they were there to take us out. But believe what you want to believe. This war is happening and not because I want it to. My wife had convinced me that there could be peace. However, your government has been more convincing on the matter... that there will be no peace.
If you want to lie to the millions of people of Europa that the vision structured by the government is righteous then go ahead, they have already managed to start a war. Do not think of us as evil. In a way, the attitude of the human race created us. You couldn't accept a new race to coexist with you. And this world built itself upon corruption and deceit. I will correct that. I will build a new world... Starting now...
